Marching Our Way Through August! | 2nd Edition
We've successfully completed our first two weeks of band camp! It has been a great start to our season marked with the performance of Movements One and Two of our Field Show, drill being presented for the first time during band camp, a Meet & Greet at Vince’s and our fundraiser at Tire Express Car Wash! As you relax during your last week of summer vacation, here is your monthly newsletter!
BAND CAMP WAS A SUCCESS!
What an incredible two weeks of Band Camp! Our students worked hard, grew tremendously, and made amazing progress as we prepared for the season ahead. We capped it all off with a successful Parent Preview, where our students showcased their marching fundamentals, pep band songs, drumline cadences, color guard routines, and more. Thank you to all of our families, staff, volunteers, and supporters who helped make Band Camp such a success!

FOOTBALL IS HERE!
Our first football game is on August 21st against Chino Hills HS! Be prepared by rehearsing and memorizing our national anthem, stand tunes!
More information will be provided in the coming weeks about your call time, uniform attire, and more!
AV ALTA FC PERFORMANCE
We’re excited to bring the Royal Marching Regiment back out to support AV ALTA FC on Saturday, August 22nd!
Our band will bring the energy from the stands alongside the 661 Supporters Group, performing pep tunes and cheering on our hometown team throughout the match. We’ll also take the field for a special halftime performance! Come out and support!
Every ticket purchased through our fundraising link sends $5 directly back to the Band & Pageantry program at no additional cost to you!

CAR WASH FUNDRAISER WAS A SUCCESS!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support our Band & Pageantry Car Wash today!
Thanks to the incredible support of our families, friends, and community, we’re excited to share that we raised $1,400 in profit for our program!
A very special thank you goes out to our amazing students and dedicated parent volunteers who gave up their Sunday to help make this event a success. Your hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to jump in wherever needed made all the difference. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!
TRAILER DRIVERS NEEDED!
We need parent volunteers to help tow our equipment trailers to our seven away events this season! Even if you can help with just one event, it would be a huge help to the RMR. Fuel can be reimbursed with a receipt.
Small Trailer: Requires 2,000-lb towing capacity and a 2" ball hitch.
Large Trailer: Requires 9,000-lb towing capacity, 2-5/8" ball hitch, 7-way plug, and electric brake controller.

GET YOUR 2026 SHOW SHIRT!
Support the Royal Marching Regiment with this year’s “Heartland” show shirt! Students receive a crew neck shirt with their fair share contribution, but parents, family, and friends can order one too! Shirts feature the Royals logo on the front and the Heartland logo and season schedule on the back.
Order by Tuesday so we can have shirts ready for our first performances! Shirts will be distributed through your associated student.
No shipping or refunds after the vendor order is placed.
SNACK SHACK VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Our QHHS Band Boosters need volunteers to help run the Snack Shack during football games this season! Positions include grilling, frying, concessions, cashiers, runners, and more. Every shift you volunteer helps support the RMR! Please check the available dates and sign up wherever you can. Even one shift makes a difference!
SCHOOLFUNDR IS COMING!
We’re kicking off our SchoolFundr campaign to help support the Royal Marching Regiment this season! Every student should begin collecting at least 20–25 email addresses and phone numbers from family members, relatives, and other supporters who may want to support our program!
Please work together as a family to build your list and save the emails in a note on the student’s phone. More information about launching the fundraiser will be shared soon!
Check out last year’s fundraiser where we raised over $15,000 using the SchoolFundr platform!

All students and at least one parent or guardian are required to join our BAND app, as it serves as our communication platform for RMR and the Band & Pageantry program. Important announcements, schedule changes, rehearsal reminders, event details, forms, and emergency updates will all be shared through BAND.

Instrument Check-Out
School-owned instruments will be officially checked out to all returning members beginning the first week of Band Camp. New students are welcome to use a school instrument during Band Camp, but official check-outs for new members will begin during the first week of school. If you own your own instrument, we highly encourage you to bring it to Band Camp!
Weekly Rehearsal Schedule
Our rehearsal schedule for the school year is here! Beginning with the first week of school, the following rehearsal schedule will be in effect:
Tuesdays - 5:30-9pm
Thursdays - 5:30-9pm
Mondays (When Needed) 5:30-9pm
Starting Oct 5th
Symphonic Band Auditions
The final selection for our Symphonic Band is almost here! Auditions will be held during the first two weeks of school during Concert Band class! Be prepared by going to our website and using the “Students” dropdown to go to “Ensemble Auditions” for all details!
