Welcome to this year’s 1st edition of our Newsletter! Each month, you'll find important announcements, upcoming events, reminders, celebrations, and other info to help you stay up to date with everything happening in the Royal Marching Regiment and of our full Band & Pageantry program. This newsletter is designed to complement our other forms of communication and a recap of key info, also gives you a look ahead at what's coming next. Thank you for being a part of our band family, and we hope you'll stay in the loop by reading each month's edition!
BAND CAMP IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!
We can't wait to kick off another exciting RMR marching season! Band Camp will take place from July 20-24 from 4-9pm through July 27-31 from 1-9pm and is the most important part of our season. During these two weeks, students will build marching fundamentals, learn music and drill for our field show, develop leadership and teamwork, and form the friendships that make our program so special. Attendance is essential, as much of the instruction for the season is taught during Band Camp and cannot easily be made up. Please be sure to review the schedule, bring plenty of water, wear comfortable athletic clothing and appropriate shoes, apply sunscreen, and come ready to work hard and have fun. We look forward to seeing everyone on the field as we begin another incredible year together as the Royal Marching Regiment!

JOIN US ON “BAND”!
All students and at least one parent or guardian are required to join our BAND app, as it serves as our communication platform for RMR and the Band & Pageantry program. Important announcements, schedule changes, rehearsal reminders, event details, forms, and emergency updates will all be shared through BAND.
HAVE YOUR HANDBOOK READY!
Please take some time to review the 2026–27 Royal Marching Regiment Handbook with your student, then sign the handbook and have it ready to turn in on the first day of Band Camp! To make things as convenient as possible, we've provided a digital copy on our website, just click the link below to access it. If you need a physical copy, we'll have printed handbooks available outside the band gate on the first day of Band Camp during drop-off. We appreciate everyone coming prepared so we can start the season off smoothly!
BAND CAMP VOLUNTEERS
Band camp is almost here, and we'd love to have some extra helping hands! Volunteering is a great way to get involved, meet other band families, and see all the hard work our students are putting in before the season begins. If you have a little time to spare during band camp, we'd really appreciate your help. Thank you for supporting the Royal Marching Regiment!

UNIFORM FITTING
During band camp, prepare to be fitted by our volunteer parents and our uniform student team. During your fitting, we will measure your student and assign them the necessary uniform components so that everything is ready well before our first competition. All fittings will be in the bandroom.
VINCE’S MEET & GREET
Mark your calendars for our Vince's Pasta & Pizza Fundraiser on Wednesday, July 15, from 4:00–9:00 PM, with our meet-up starting at 6:00PM. Simply bring the fundraiser flyer (printed or on your phone), and 20% of your purchasewill be donated directly to the QHHS Band & Auxiliary Boosters to support our students throughout the year.
While you're there, stop by our Royal Marching Regiment Meet & Greet at 6:00 PM to meet our members, staff, and learn more about the season ahead. Bring your family, invite your friends, enjoy some great pizza!
CAR WASH FUNDRAISER
Come out and support the Royal Marching Regiment at our Car Wash Fundraiser on Sunday, July 26, at TireXpress! Our students will be washing cars throughout the Sunday morning to help raise funds for the upcoming marching season.

BAND CAMP PARENT SHOW
We invite all parents, families, and friends to join us at the stadium for our Band Camp Parent Show beginning at 8:00PM This is your chance to see everything our students have been working on throughout band camp, including performances of our field show, pep tunes, color guard routines, marching commands, and more!
PARENT BOOSTER MEETING
Before the performance, we'll also be holding our Band Booster Parent Meeting at 7:00PM in the stadium, where we'll share important information about the upcoming season and ways you can get involved. We encourage everyone to attend the booster meeting and stay for the entire parent show. We can't wait to show you all the hard work our students have put in, and we hope to see you there!

Instrument Check-Out
School-owned instruments will be officially checked out to all returning members beginning the first week of Band Camp. New students are welcome to use a school instrument during Band Camp, but official check-outs for new members will begin during the first week of school. If you own your own instrument, we highly encourage you to bring it to Band Camp!
Weekly Rehearsal Schedule
Our rehearsal schedule for the school year is here! Beginning with the first week of school, the following rehearsal schedule will be in effect:
Tuesdays - 5:30-9pm
Thursdays - 5:30-9pm
Mondays (When Needed) 5:30-9pm
Starting Oct 5th
Leadership Camp
ALL leadership for the 2026-27 are expected to attend leadership camp! Camp will be in the bandroom from 2-5:30pm
