Bandtober is Here! | 3rd Edition
October is here, and that means competition season has officially arrived! After months of rehearsals, band camp, football games, and countless hours of hard work, the RMR is ready to take the field and show everyone what we’ve been building. October will be one of our busiest and most exciting months of the season, filled with performances, competitions, rehearsals, and opportunities to continue improving every week.
Great Showing at Littlerock!
Our students had the opportunity to showcase the hard work they’ve put in throughout the first several weeks of the season, performing Movements 1, 2 and 3 of our field show and getting valuable experience in front of an audience. We are incredibly proud of the progress the ensemble has made, but we know there is still plenty of work ahead as we prepare for competition season! Thank you to our families, staff, boosters, and supporters who helped make the day a success.
First Field Competition this Saturday!
On October 3rd, the Royal Marching Regiment will take the field for our first field competition of the 2026 season! This is just the first step of an exciting season ahead, and every rehearsal and performance gives us another opportunity to grow. Itinerary details can be found using this link.

CONTRIBUTION #3 DUE
A friendly reminder to all of our Band & Pageantry families that Contribution #3 is due! Your contributions directly support the many expenses that make our season possible. Every contribution makes a difference, and we truly appreciate your support!
Families can send in their student’s contribution through Zelle or Cash and Check in the bandroom booster box. Please be sure to include your student’s full name with the payment so it can be properly credited to their account. If you have already submitted Contribution #3, thank you for your continued support!
PARENT MEETING
Want to put your input in our marching bandprogram? Please join us for our next parent meeting on October 13th at 7:30 p.m. in the band room (Room 601). All band and pageantry families are encouraged to attend. We hope to see you there!
CROWN THE HILL PERFORMANCE
Join us for the Crown the Hill Community Celebration on Wednesday, October 7th, the RMR will take the field in full uniform to perform our field show for our Quartz Hill community! Festivities start at 6:30pm with our call-time being 5:30pm in the bandroom!
HOMECOMING GAME
Due to the homecoming announcements, we will not have the time to perform the field show
during half-time. We will play a stand tune in place of it for this game.
All marching band students are expected to attend the game and perform!
SNACK SHACK VOLUNTEERS
Parents! We’re in need of Snack Shack volunteers for our upcoming games!

PSAT and SAT
October is an important month for our students as PSAT and SAT testing gets underway! PSAT for 9th graders is October 13th, PSAT for 10th graders is October 14th, and the SAT for 12th graders is October 15th.
